I watched Going the Distance with my mom this evening and, omgawd, I didn’t know it was such a raunchy-funny kind of movie. Not in a bad way, because it really sent me reeling with laughter. The storyline is ‘meh’ — common and even overused — but if you want something for the laughs and will not be offended by raunchy jokes then there’s your chick-flick. I can’t focus. I’m at Matteo, our university’s study hall, listening to Disney music and looking at fashion blogs. I came to school supposedly to be productive until 12pm, after which I’ll head to Cubao to buy stuff for tomorrow’s shoot. And maybe find a nice pair of shoes for myself along the way. ;D

I bought this on impulse and almost didn’t sleep last night just to finish it. The story is not extraordinary. A romance you’ve read before: childhood friends who grew up together and then drifted apart, only to be brought together by a tragedy with a lot of issues, secrets, and years of sexual tension in between them. August started with a calm, AND THEN PICKED UP AN UNBELIEVABLE FAST PACE as I got busy with work, and more work. It ended with a calm (a lazy Tuesday) and a familiar note.

If I try to start counting the good things to counter disappointment, today’s would have been:

finding my Stephen Speaks cd and listening to it on the way to school. Yes, I used to listen to the album years ago and it was so nice singing along with my brother in the car. Tofu steak and egg+shrimp maki for dinner. Yum.

Satisfying sushi cravings

After thesis class yesterday, all three of us were craving for sushi, so we decided to have late lunch together today. <3 I missed hanging out with Jamie and Mary. I missed hanging out with girls, period. If anything, even if girls are more complicated than boys (and not just from a guy’s POV), they’re less confusing (for me). Nothing to feel confused over at all.

There weren’t any classes last Thursday (19th) so I went with a couple of friends to Tagaytay/Laguna for some chillin’ and working-away-from-home. What a way to end a crazy day. I feel so disappointed in myself. I don’t think I did very well in my Philo and Theo orals, and definitely was B-class during my thesis proposal presentation. I may have tried to dress up and all but in the end I really sucked. Hopes and dreams are shattering apart

My brain is going to explode. I don’t think I can live this kind of life. Three weeks of days without much sleep, nights crashing into the sofa, working but never finishing (LIKE THERE IS NO END TO EVERYTHING), living life in one exhaustive cycle.
